The first class of 2026-27 will be a 24-week series on the "The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation." We have provided all the details BELOW that will help you register for the class. Please make note of the IMPORTANT DATES to ensure that you will have a workbook by the first day of class.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THIS BIBLE STUDY. This series takes you on a fascinating journey through the entire Bible, focusing on the 14 books that tell the story of salvation history. It explores the different periods of this history so you can discover the narrative of God's love interwoven throughout Scripture. Features: Jeff Cavins, Dr. John Bergsma, Dr. Marcelino D'Ambrosio, Dcn John Harden, Dr. Mary Healy, Dr. Jeff Marrow, Damon Owens, Fr. Mike Schmitz, and Dr. Christine Wood.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO TAKE THIS CLASS. This is an invaluable experience for anyone looking to understand Sacred Scripture, regardless of where they are on their faith journey. For those new to Bible study, this series is the perfect starting point, as it breaks down the complex narrative of the Bible into manageable historical periods, providing a rock-solid foundation that will enrich all your future scripture classes. If you have completed this study in the past, you are highly encouraged to join again. The program has been completely revised and updated with brand-new videos (Release 2025), offering fresh insights, deeper theological reflections, and an enhanced learning experience that will make the story of salvation come alive all over again.
CLASS SCHEDULE: You will be able to attend classes on Wednesday mornings or evenings starting October 7, 2026 - April 28, 2027. DONATIONS DONATION FOR MATERIALS $35 (13% of material costs are being subsidized by the Parish). If you are unable to afford the costs, let us know how much you are able to pay.
REGISTRATIONFAITH FORMATION OFFICE - September 8-11, 14-18The first book order will be placed on September 23. To ensure that you have a workbook on the first day of class, please have your completed registration forms turned in no later than September 22; payment is not required until the first day of class. We will continue to take LATE REGISTRATION forms through October 2; however, there is no guarantee that you will receive a book on time for the first class (copies of workbook pages can be made available).If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact the Faith Formation Office by calling (714) 963-7871 or emailing FaithFormation@HolySpiritFV.org.
