The goals of the program are:
1. Allowing early adolescents to experience the Word of God and the Eucharist in a deeper and more profound way.
2. Creating a positive experience of the Catholic Church for early adolescents
3. Helping middle school youth gain an understanding and appreciation of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes.
4. Incorporating the Catholic Church's vision of social justice and peace into their spiritual life.
5. Developing an identity in middle school youth as a vital and visual presence within the parish community.
We believe catechesis goes further when our youth group leaders are involved in the lives of the youth. Our resources are written to empower our Team Leaders to interact with the youth and build safe, Christ-center friendships.
In this year, we are presenting various aspects of our Catholic faith, the introduction to prayer, and the basic types of prayer. The youth will hear and learn about how and when the Catholic Church was instituted, discipleship, evangelization and more.
